The Martin Woods Farm, in Maine supports three interactive yet distinct branches of business: Equestrian Services, Stark Raven Products, and our new Center for Human Ecology and resultant programming, such as Campfire Chronicles (music) artisan activity, community education and venue services (e.g., weddings, parties, clinics and more).
Our Mission is to honor God through rural living and the careful stewardship of His gifts and the encouragement of friendships, family values, and kindness. We aim to provide a safe and pleasant environment with adequate resources to promote individual experiences in horsemanship, and nature-based education.
We are a team of Bud, Sarah and Cole Martin, with the help of Maelyn Leighton, Abbi Donald, and Dawn Steward we remain open the year-round.
The animals are numerous in number and species, and vary from time to time. You can be sure to see horses, cows, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, and more.
Our farm facilities include a red barn, a long barn with a solar array across the east facing roof, an outdoor and an indoor arena, and several run in shelters for the animals. There is a trails system in the woods, and rock wall fences, as well as fences to suggest boarders for the horses and cows. We also have a newly developed hub for our Center for Human Ecology.
